"Art and
practical school subjects as bridge builders" |
A Scandinavian conference "Art and
practical school subjects as bridge builders"
was held in Oslo in Huseby resource
center 30.1-2.2.2007. There were lectures and discussions concerning the state
of art and practical subjects in the curricula in Scandinavian countries.
However, most emphasis was put on workhsop activities such as drama, singing,
dancing and action painting- performance. A visit was made to the museum of
Gustav Vigeland. In the evening party some impressive performances were
presented. The teachers of our school gave a presentation on the project "The
secret garden". It was carried out last year in cooperation with the Jyväskylä
culture center. The tools of the project were drama, music and art. In the photo
teachers are participating in the action painting.
