Rehabilitation
   

The rehabilitation team consists of a psychologist, welfare officer, physiotherapist,
speech therapist, low vision terapists, mobility instructors,
instructor of I.T and school nurse.


Low vision therapist
Assesses
- the functional vision of a pupil in various situations and draws a report
Evaluates
- the overall visual situation and need for visual aids
Makes recommendations concerning
- necessary aids
Gives guidance and tutoring in
- the use and maintenance of aids in functional vision

Braille Instructors
act as a tutor for children learning Braille in addition or instead of print

IT- instructor
Assesses
- the computing skills at various grades and draws up reports
Makes recommendations
- concerning appropriate computers, special programmes and special aids
Gives guidance and tutoring in
- the use od special programmes and computers
- the use of electronic books
- maintenance of computers and special aids


Psychologist
Assesses  the V.I.  childrens' growth and development in co-operation with other personnel
and organizes supportive and rehabilitational group activities and other psychologigal services
